I used to try and list all my favorite artists on this fantastic website on my regular journal page, but the list was getting ridiculously long, and more than that, I kept wanting to give more recognition than just putting their avatar on the journal. So now I've set up a page strictly dedicated to my favorite artists on this site. My goal is to feature a new artist every week, put that artist on my regular journal page, and then put all the previously featured artists on this page.

The system below should be pretty self-explanatory, as should the categories.

There is the artist's name, with his/her avatar (which also functions as a link to their profile), a brief description of why they were chosen (a review of sorts), and a few sample thumbnails of their work (basically my top favorites from their gallery, haha!).

This is just the only way I could think of to give back and garner some more attention for all the artists out there I feel deserve it!

I've been following this artist almost since I first became a member of deviantart a few years ago. She is absolutely incredible with everything she does, although I have to admit that my favorite pieces of hers are her depictions from one of my favorite anime shows: Inuyasha. This is one artist where you need to browse the entire portfolio.

Usually when I see anything that this woman does, my jaw hits the floor so fast I only have time to get out one word, and that word is: "WOW". She is just incredible with what she can do with a brush, hell, even with a simple pencil and paper. Most of her artwork is original based off of her own fantasy characters, with a few exceptions.
